Twa o them are the touns o: Sokh, aurie o 325 km² (125 sq mi) wi a population o 42,800 in 1993 (awtho some estimates go as heich as 70,000) (99% are Tajiks an the remainder Uzbeks Archived 2016-03-04 at the Wayback Machine); an Shohimardon, aurie o 90 km² (35 sq mi) wi a population o 5,100 in 1993 (91% are Uzbeks an the remainder Kyrgyz).
