The Carpathie Moontains or Carpathians is a range o muntains furmin an arc thareby 1,500 km (932 mi) lang athort Central an Eastren Europe, makkin them the seicont-langest muntain range in Europe (efter the Scandinavian Muntains, 1,700 km (1,056 mi)). Thay provide the habitat for the lairgest European populations o broun beirs, European woufs, chamois an lynxes, wi the heichest concentration in Romanie,[2][3][4] as weel as ower ane third o aw European plant species.[5]
