Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald is a destrict (Kreis) in the sooth o Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neebourin destricts are Emmendingen, Schwarzwald-Baar, Waldshut, Lörrach an the French départements o the Haut-Rhin an the Bas-Rhin. The destrict-free ceety o Freiburg is surroondit bi the destrict. The destrict is namit efter the Breisgau, a historical territory, an the heich pairts o the Black Forest (Hochschwarzwald).

The district was created in 1973 by merging the previous districts of Freiburg, Müllheim und Hochschwarzwald.
