It is namit efter its main ceety Yambol, while ither touns include Straldzha, Bolyarovo an Elhovo. The province embraces a territory o 3,355.5 km²^[1] that is dividit intae 5 municipalities wi a total population, as o December 2009, o 138,429 inhabitants.^[2][3][4]
