Srebrenica is a sma muntain toun, its main industry being salt minin an a nearby spa. Durin the Bosnie War, the toun wis the steid o the Julie 1995 massacre, determined tae hae been a creeme o genocide.[2] On 24 Mairch 2007, Srebrenica's municipal assembly adoptit a resolution demandin unthirldom frae the Republika Srpska entity (though no frae Bosnie's sovereignty); the Serb members o the assembly did no vote on the resolution.[3]
