Shuya (Roushie: Шу́я) is the third lairgest toun in Ivanovo Oblast, Roushie; locatit on the Teza River. Population: 58,486(2010 Census);[3]62,449(2002 Census);[9]69,362(1989 Census).[10]

Athin the framewirk o admeenistrative diveesions, Shuya sers as the admeenistrative centre o Shuysky Destrict,[1] even tho it isnae a pairt o it.[5] As an admeenistrative diveesion, it is incorporatit separately as the Toun o Shuya—an admeenistrative unit wi the status equal tae that o the destricts.[5] As a municipal diveesion, the Toun o Shuya is incorporatit as Shuya Urban Okrug.[6]
Nikolo-Shartomsky Abbey, situatit 12 kilometer (7.5mi) frae Shuya, haes ane o the lairgest monastic commonties in Roushie. The closter wis first mentioned in 1425.
