Ponikva is a dounset in the Municipality o Šentjur in eastren Slovenie. The aurie is pairt o the historical Styrie region. The municipality is nou includit in the Savinja Statistical Region. The Slovenie bishop, author, an poet Anton Martin Slomšek wis born in the hamlet o Slom sooth o the dounset.[2]
