Montpellier (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃.pə.lje]; Occitan: Montpelhièr [mum.peˈʎɛ]) is a ceety in soothren Fraunce. It is the caipital o the Languedoc-Roussillon region, as well as the Hérault depairtment. Montpellier is the 8t lairgest ceety o Fraunce, an is an aa the fastest growin ceety in the kintra ower the past 25 years.[1] Locatit on the sooth coast o Fraunce on the Mediterranean Sea, it is the third-lairgest French ceety on the Mediterranean coast efter Marseille an Nice.
