Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron o La Brède an o Montesquieu (/ˈmɒntᵻskjuː/;[1] French: [mɔ̃tɛskjø]; 18 Januar 1689 – 10 Februar 1755), generally referred tae as simply Montesquieu, wis a French lawyer, man of letters, an political philosopher who lived during the Age of Enlightenment.
