Loch Lomond (/ˈlɒx ˈloʊmənd/; Scots Gaelic: Loch Laomainn) is a freshwatter loch in Scotland that lies athort the Hieland Boundary Fault, aften seen as the boundary atween the lawlands o Central Scotland and the Hielands.[1] Traditionally makkin up pairt o the boundary atween the coonties o Stirlingshire an Dunbartonshire, Loch Lomond is split atween the cooncil auries o Stirling, Argyll and Bute an Wast Dunbartonshire. Its soothren shores ur aboot 23 kilometre (14 mi) northwast o the centre o Glesga, the maist muckle city in Scotland.[2] The Loch maks up pairt o the Loch Lomond an The Trossachs Naitional Pairk that wis creatit in 2002.
