Karmiel (Hebrew: כַּרְמִיאֵל, lit. "God's vinyairds") is a ceety in northren Israel. Established in 1964 as a development toun, Karmiel is locatit in the Beit HaKerem Valley which divides upper an lawer Galilee. The ceety is locatit sooth o the Acre-Safed road, 32 kilometres (20 mi) frae Safed an 20 kilometres (12 mi) frae Acre. In 2015 Karmiel haed a population o 44,858.[1]
