Gyeonggi-do (Korean pronunciation: [kjʌŋ.ɡi.do]) is the maist populous province in Sooth Korea. The provincial caipital is locatit at Suwon. Seoul—Sooth Korea's mucklest ceety an naitional caipital—is locatit in the hert o the province, but haes been separately admeenistered at a provincial-level special ceety syne 1946. Incheon—Sooth Korea's third mucklest ceety—is locatit on the coast o the province, but haes been similarly admeenistered at a provincial-level metropolitan ceety syne 1981. The three admeenistrations atween thaim cover 11,730 km2, wi a combined (census) population in 2005 o 22,766,850—amoontin tae ower hauf o the hale population o the Sooth Korea.
