European eel

The European eel (Anguilla anguilla),[2] or semply eel, is a species o eel, a snake-lik, catadromous fish. Thay can reach a lenth o 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) in exceptional cases, but are normally aroond 60–80 cm (2.0–2.6 ft), an rarely reach mair nor 1 m (3 ft 3 in). While captive specimens hae leeved ower 85 years, the species' lifespan in the wild haes nae been determined.[3][4]
