Кваме Энтони Аппиа (англ. Kwame Anthony Appiah; род. 8 мая 1954 года, Лондон, Великобритания) — американский философ, культуролог, писатель ганского происхождения[10]. Занимается вопросами политической философии, философии языка, африканской интеллектуальной истории, расовой теории, семантики, морали. С 2014 года является профессором Нью-Йоркского университета. Член Американского философского общества, почетный член Королевского общества (2024)[11]. В 2012 году президент Барак Обама наградил его Национальной гуманитарной медалью.

Отец — ашанти Джозеф Эммануэль Аппиа, дипломат, в 1977—78 годах представлял Гану в ООН, мать — англичанка Пегги Криппс (Пегги Аппиа[англ.], дочь Стаффорда Криппса[прим. 1]), оба аристократического происхождения. Детство провёл в Кумаси, получил среднее и высшее образование в Англии.
До перехода в Нью-Йоркский университет в 2014 году, преподавал в Принстонском, Гарвардском, Йельском, Корнелльском и Дьюкском университетах, а также в Университете Ганы.
Избран в Американскую академию искусств и наук, а в 2008 году принят в Американскую академию искусств и литературы.
