1 stycznia 2017 roku połączono sześć wcześniejszych gmin: Arrou, Boisgasson, Châtillon-en-Dunois, Courtalain, Langey oraz Saint-Pellerin. Siedzibą nowej gminy została miejscowość Arrou, a gmina przyjęła jej nazwę[2].
