ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭିକ ତ୍ରୈମାସିକ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Early pregnancy bleeding) ଗର୍ଭର୨୪ ସପ୍ତାହ (gestational age) ପୂର୍ବରୁ ହେଉଥିବା ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବକୁ (bleeding) ବୁଝାଏ ।[2] ଅବସ୍ଥା ଜଟିଳ ହେଲେ ହେମୋରେଜିକ ସକ୍ (Hemorrhagic shock) ହୋଇପାରେ ।[1] ରୋଗୀର ସିଙ୍କୋପି ଚେତନାହାନୀ ହେଲେ (loss of consciousness), ଅଣନିଶ୍ୱାସୀ (short of breath) ବା କାନ୍ଧ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ହେଲେ ଚିନ୍ତାଜନକ ହୋଇଯାଏ । [1]

ଏହି ବେମାରୀର ସାଧାରଣ କାରଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ୍ଟୋପିକ ଗର୍ଭ (Ectopic pregnancy) ଓ ଥ୍ରେଟନ୍ଡ ଗର୍ଭପାତ ବା ମିସକ୍ୟାରେଜ (threatened miscarriage) ଦୁଇଟି ଉଲ୍ଲେଖଯୋଗ୍ୟ । [1][2] ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଗର୍ଭପାତ ୧୨ ସପ୍ତାହ ଗର୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ହୁଏ ।[2] ଏହା ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଇମ୍ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟେସନ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ (implantation bleeding), ଜେସ୍ଟେସନାଲ ଟ୍ରୋଗୋବ୍ଲାସ୍ଟିକ ଡିଜିଜ (gestational trophoblastic disease), ସର୍ଭିକାଲ ପଲିପ (polyps), ସର୍ଭିକାଲ କର୍କଟ (cervical cancer) ଇତ୍ୟାଦି କାରଣମାନଙ୍କ ଯୋଗୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ହୁଏ ।[1][2] ଅନ୍ତର୍ନିହିତ କାରଣମାନ ଜାଣିବାନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ପେକୁଲମ ପରୀକ୍ଷା (speculum examination), ଅଲଟ୍ରାସାଉଣ୍ଡ (ultrasound), ହ୍ୟୁମାନ କୋରିଓନିକ ଗୋନାଡୋଟ୍ରଫିନ (hCG) ପରୀକ୍ଷାମାନ କରାଯାଏ । [1]
ଅନ୍ତର୍ନିହିତ କାରଣ ଅନୁସାରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରାଯାଏ ।[1] ଜରାୟୁଗ୍ରୀବା ଦ୍ୱାରଦେଶରେ (cervical opening) ତନ୍ତୁ ଦେଖାଗଲା ବାହାର କରିଦିଆଯାଏ । [1] ଜରାୟୁ ଭିତରେ ଗର୍ଭ ଥିଲେ ଓ ଶିଶୁର ହୃତ୍ପିଣ୍ଡ (fetal heart sounds) ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣାଯାଉଥିଲେ ସଜାଗ ଅପେକ୍ଷଆ (watchful waiting) ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ହୁଏ ।[3] ରୋଗୀଣୀର ରକ୍ତ ଆରଏଚ-ନେଗେଟିଭ (Rh-negative) ଥିଲେ, ଆଣ୍ଟି-ଡି ଇମ୍ମ୍ୟୁନ୍ ଗ୍ଲୋବ୍ୟୁଲିନ (Anti-D immune globulin) ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[4] ବେଳେବେଳେ ଅପରେଶନ କରାଯାଏ । [1]
ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାର ୦ରୁ ୧୨ ସପ୍ତାହ (first trimester) ମଧ୍ୟରେ ୩୦% ମହିଳାଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ ହୁଏ ।[1] ବାରରୁ ଚବିଶ ମାସ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିଶେଷ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ ହୁଏନାହିଁ ।[5]
