Søvatnet er en innsjø i Heim, Orkland og Rindal kommuner i Trøndelag. Vatnet er magasin for Søa kraftverk. Det er knyttet sammen det nedenforliggende Vasslivatnet med en tunnel, og har samme øvre regulerte vannstand med 279,83 meter over havet. Søvatnet kan tappes ned til 275 moh., men med 278,3 moh som minimum i tiden 25. mai - 15. oktober.[2] Ved høyeste regulerte vannstand er vannets største dybde 67 meter.[3]

Vatnet har tilsig fra Ljøsåa fra sørvest og Hundsåa fra øst, foruten flere mindre elver og bekker. Det naturlige utløpet er via Flaugelva til Vasslivatnet.
