Utseende

Små (ca. 1,5 millimeter), avlange, blankt brunlige til svarte palpebiller, palper og bein rødlige. Hodet er tilsmalnende forover, med utstående fasettøyne og lange maksillarpalper. Pronotum er avrundet sekskantet. Dekkvingene har fine punkstriper.

Levevis

Palpebillene lever i eller ved vann. Denen slekten finnes på såkalte hygropetriske habitater, der vann risler over steiner.

Utbredelse

Slekten er emdemisk for Kapp-regionen i Sør-Afrika.
