Hōsei-universitetet (japansk: 法政大学, Hōsei daigaku; som kan oversettes til «universitet for rett- og statslære») er et privat universitet i Tokyo med tre universitetsområder: Ichigaya-kampusen i Chiyoda, Tama-kampusen i Machida og Koganei-kampusen i Koganei.

Universitetet er et av ligaen som kalles «Tokyos seks store universiteter». Det utviklet seg fra rettsskolen Tōkyō Hōgakkō («Rettsvitenskapsskolen i Tokyo»), som ble grunnlagt i 1880 og slått sammen med Tōkyō Futsugakkō (en franskskole) i 1889. I 1903 byttet universitetet navn til «Hōsei»; i 1920 ble den anerkjent som privatuniversitet.
Gustave Emile Boissonade, Tomii Masaaki og Ume Kenjirō tok del i opprettelsen av skolen.
Universitetet er et av 37 universiteter i Japan som er såkalt «Top Global University».[1]
