Rena leir ligger i Åmot kommune i Innlandet og ble opprettet som en kavalerileir for Søndenfjeldske dragonregiment i 1997. Rena leir er den nyeste leiren i Norge og en av de største leirene i Norden med om lag 2 000 soldater. Leiren er en del av Østerdal Garnison, sammen med Terningmoen i Elverum. De fleste HRS-avdelingene (hurtig reaksjonsstyrke) i Hæren holder til her.

Det er en moderne leir, med blant annet store øvingsområder (Regionfelt Østlandet og Rødsmoen skytefelt) og kampsimulatorer.
Rena leir er bygget på bakgrunn av en arkitektkonkurranse i 1994. Leiren består av om lag 200 000 kvm bygninger med enormt bruksareal.
Leiren er bygget i betong, stål og treverk. Ubehandlet furu fra Østerdalen er brukt i de fleste fasadene i leiren, med rot i Østerdalens byggeskikk. Leiren er delt i to deler med boliger, forlegninger, velferd, messe og idrettsavdeling i en «garnisonsby» og treningssentre, skytebaner og øvingsfelt i ett festningsanlegg.
Arkitekt for anlegget var LPO arkitekter. Arkitektbyrået og leiren ble tildelt Betongtavlen i 1998.
