Modern Screen var et amerikansk magasin som ble utgitt i over 50 år. Magasinet inneholdt opprinnelig artikler, fotoserier og intervjuer med filmstjerner, men inkluderte etterhvert også kjente personer innen TV- og musikkbransjen.
Modern Screen ble publisert av Dell Magazines fra New York, og ble første gang utgitt i november 1930 (enkelte kilder hevder desember 1930). Magasinet ble raskt Photoplays største konkurrent blant de mange filmmagasinene som ble utgitt i denne perioden. På 1930- og 1940-tallet solgte magasinet flere millioner utgaver hver måned, og i 1933 ble slagordet «Det største opplaget til noe filmmagasin» tatt i bruk på coveret. På begynnelsen av 1930-tallet hadde magasinet malerier av filmstjerner på forsiden, men gikk over til fargebilder på 1940-tallet.
Modern Screen solgte godt også utover 1950-tallet, men sviktende billettsalg på kinoer på slutten av tiåret gikk utover magasinets salgstall. Likevel beholdt magasinet populariteten helt til slutten av 1970-tallet. På begynnelsen av 1980-tallet derimot, ble de gammeldagse filmmagasinene erstattet av moderne konkurrenter som People, som inneholdt mer generelt stoff om kjente personer. I 1985, etter å ha publisert annenhver måned i flere år, sluttet Modern Screen å utgi flere magasin.
