Ludvika er en by i Dalarnas län i landskapet Dalarna i Sverige. Det er Ludvika kommunes administrasjonssenter. I 2010 hadde tettstedet Ludvika 14 498 innbyggere, hvorav 14 092 i Ludvika kommune og 406 i Smedjebacken kommune.[2]

Det statlige jernverket Gustav Vasa etablerte ved Ludvika omkring 1550 gikk i 1726 over i privat eie.[3] Ved slutten av 1700-tallet vokste bebyggelsen ved bruket. Mot slutten av 1800-tallet gikk det nedover med jernproduksjonen og den opphørte i 1890-årene. Ludvika fikk i 1879 jernbaneforbindelse til Göteborg og i 1900 til Stockholm.[3]
Fra 1900 opplevde Ludvika vekst basert på elektroindustri. Elektriska Aktiebolaget Magnet, som senere ble til ASEA-Ludvikaverken og en del av ABB, ble etablert i 1900.[4]
Ludvika fikk status som municipalsamhälle i 1901 og ble köping i 1915. Bystatus kom i 1919.[3]
Per 2013 sysselsatte ABB rundt 2500 personer i Ludvika, det samme som antallet kommunalt sysselsatte. Landstinget og Spendrups Bryggeri var andre store arbeidsgivere.[5]
