Liu Yuan (tradisjonell kinesisk: 劉源, forenklet kinesisk: 刘源, pinyin: Liú Yuán, født i 1951 i Beijing) er en kinesisk kommunistisk politiker og general. Han er (2012) politisk kommissar i Folkets frigjøringshærs logistikkdepartement.[1]

Han er sønn av president Liu Shaoqi, den fremtredende kommunistleder og påtenkte etterfølger av Mao Zedong som senere ble utrensket under kulturrevolusjonen. Moren er Wang Guangmei. Han er fetter til Wang Guangying.
I 1985 ble han videborgermester av Zhengzhou i provinsen Henan. Han ble viseguvernør for Henan i 1988. Han var så lenge knyttet til Folkets væpnede politi, og gjorde deretter karriere i Folkets frigjøringshær.[2]
I 2010 skrev Liu forordet til en venns bok med tittel Endring av vårt syn på kultur og historie, som tiltrakk seg oppmerksomhet for sin kritikk av tidligere partiledere, avvisning av utenlandske modeller og promovering av militære verdier.[1][3]
