Johnny Richard Carson, Sr. (født 31. januar 1930 i Atlanta i Georgia, død 1. april 2009 samme sted) var en tight end i amerikansk fotball som spilte for Washington Redskins i National Football League (NFL) fra 1953 til 1959 og for Houston Oilers i American Football League (AFL) i ligaens første sesong i 1960. Han spilte college football på University of Georgia hvor han ble utnevnt All-America. Carson ble draftet av Cleveland Browns i femtende runde av NFLs draft i 1953.
