Gutu er et distrikt i provinsen Masvingo i det sørlige Zimbabwe med 198 000 innbyggere (2002)[trenger referanse]. Selve byen Gutu ligger 1 454 moh og har rundt 50 000 innbyggere.[trenger referanse]

Distriktet ligger i den nordlige delen av provinsen, og administrasjonsstedet er Mupandawana. Blant distriktets innbyggerne var tidligere visepresident i Zimbabwe under president Canaan Banana, Simon Muzenda som døde i 2003. I distriktet finnes også Gutu Mission Hospital som arbeider med hiv/aids-pleie.
Befolkningen er hovedsakelig fra folkegruppen karanga,[trenger referanse] som er en undergruppe av shona.
Etter at landet ble selvstendig i 1980, var Mupandawana tenkt å være et satsningsområde. Det er et av de få distriktene i landet som lider av overbefolkning, med en folketetthet på 22,08 innbyggere pr km² og dette er blant det høyeste i landet.[1] I 1989 hadde Gutu en befolkning på mellom 10-12 000 og som så mange andre distrikter i landet mangler helsevesenet tilstrekkelig med kvalifisert arbeidskraft.[2]
Blant kjente personer fra distriktet er Morgan Tsvangirai.
