Dramatiska institutet (DI) var en statlig kunstfaglig høgskole i Stockholm som ble etablert i 1970 og opphørte i 2010. Den ga utdannelse innen ulike kunstnerfag innen film, radio, TV og scene.

En rekke kjente kunstnere fikk sin utdannelse her. Blant disse er Erik Poppe, Hrafn Gunnlaugsson, Josef Fares, Leidulv Risan, Lena B. Eriksson, Lukas Moodysson, Eva von Hanno, Miko Lazić, Björn Runge, Roy Andersson, Matias Armand Jordal, Jonas Grimås, Harald Paalgard, Paul-Anders Simma.
Skolen tilbød både grunnutdannelse, påbygninger og videreutdannelse. Videre drev skolen også kunstnerisk utviklingsarbeid. Skolens studenter endte ofte i profesjonell kunstnerisk virksomhet.
Studenter fra TV-produsentutdannelsen rekrutteres til SVT, UR, TV4, MTG eller til ulike produksjonsselskaper, og tidligere radiostudenter arbeider i stor grad innen Sveriges radio.
Teaterutdannelsen inkluderer regi, produsent, scenografi, kostyme, sminke, lysdesign og lyddesign.
I september 2004 flyttet DI til et nybygget hus i Valhallavägen 189 i Stockholm, og ligger her sammen med Svenska Filminstitutet.
I april 2009 foreslo DIs styre, sammen med styret ved Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm overfor den svenske regjeringen om å slå sammen de to høgskolene med virkning fra 1. juli 2011.[1]
Grunnutdannelsen går over tre år og leder til en såkalt kandidateksamen. Ny utdannelse påbegynnes derfor hvert tredje år. Det gis grunnutdannelse innen følgende fagområder:
