Azat er en venstre sideelv til Araks i Armenia. Elvas kilde ligger i de sørlige hellingene av Asjdahak i Geghamfjellene sentralt i landet. Elva flyter sørvestlig og har etter 40 kilometer samløp med Araks på Araratsletten. I midten av løpet har en demning skapt vannreservoaret med samme navn som elva. Vannet blir brukt til vannkraft og vanning.

Azat er kjent i Armenia for sin skjønnhet, spektakulære fossefall og den svært steinete elvebunnen. Elva renner gjennom en nasjonalpark (Khosrov) og en canyon ved landsbyen Garni.
