Ås prestegjeld var et prestegjeld tilhørende Follo prosti i Borg bispedømme i Den norske kirke. Det omfattet Ås kommune i Akershus fylke, og hovedkirken var Ås kirke.
Ås prestegjeld og dets sogn er nå en del av Ås kirkelige fellesråd underlagt Søndre Follo prosti.
Áss sókn (norrønt) har sin opprinnelse fra kristningen av landet.[1] Ås middelalderkirke, Áss Maria kirkja, viet til jomfru Maria, var i sin tid Follos største steinkirke. Den lå på den nordøstre delen av kirkegården og hadde opprinnelig stort, rektangulært skip og smalere kor med apsis. Koret ble etterhvert utvidet og gjort rett avsluttet, og kirken fikk et murt vesttårn. Denne kirken ble revet i 1866, da dagens kirke ble bygget.[2].
Middelalderkirken er omtalt i Biskop Eysteins jordebok fra 1397 som Áss kirkja.
Ås prestegjeld antas å gå tilbake til førreformatorisk tid, da det var behov for å tilpasse den kirkelige inndelingen til folketallet og bosetningsmønsteret etter Svartedauden.[3] I middelalderen omtales tre kirker i Ås prestegjeld:[4]
Senest rundt reformasjonen ble Ås hovedkirke, og i Povel Huitfeldts Stiftsbok fra 1574-77 omtales følgende kirker i Aass Sogenn:
Prestegjeldet er oppført i Skattematrikkelen 1647 som Aasz hovedsougen i Folloug fougderie.
Drøbak prestegjeld ble utskilt fra Ås prestegjeld ved kgl.res. av 8. september 1823, og omfattet byen og landsognet (Frogn).[5]
Ås prestegjeld dannet grunnlaget for Ås formannskapsdistrikt opprettet i 1837.[6]
Fra 2004 ble prestegjeldet som administrativ enhet faset ut av Den norske kirke, og fra 2012 gikk det også ut av lovverket.[7]
