Kitsch er masseproduserte gjenstander som liknar på kunst, men som har liten verdi og kunstnarisk kvalitet. Kitsch-omgrepet oppstod i Tyskland på 1800-talet og vart opphavleg brukt om billige etterlikningar av kjende kunstverk, til dømes reproduksjoner av berømte måleri, også i andre materialer enn dei opphavlege. Omgrepet viser i dag til all slags klisjéprega, uoriginal og populær «liksom-kunst», ikkje minst glorete og sentimentale suvenirer og pyntegjenstandar.
Ordet «kitsch» er opphavleg tysk, men har usikkert opphav. De kan vera avleidd frå det engelske sketch, det vil seia «skisse» eller «utkast», frå det tyske verkitschen som tyder «å selja billeg» eller frå det tyske dialektordet kitschen som betyr å 'smørja', 'fuska' eller 'skrapa saman i haugar'.
