Berkel er ei elv i Nederland og ei av sideelvane til IJssel frå høgre.

Ho har utspring i Billerbeck i Tyskland, nær byen Münster i Nordrhein-Westfalen, og kryssar grensa til Nederland nær Vreden (Tyskland) og Rekken (Nederland). Frå her renn ho gjennom provinsen Gelderland og munnar ut i IJssel ved Zutphen etter om lag 110 km.
Før jernbanen kom til området var Berkel ei stor transportåre for varer frå Münster til Eibergen, Borculo og Zutphen, transportert i båtar med flat botn kalla Berkelzompen. I 1950-åra vart den nederlandske delen av elva kanalisert for å hindre flaum og for å betre dreneringa. I nyare tid har dei gamle svingane i elva vorte ført tilbake i elva sitt naturleg leie.
