Lyme Regis er ein kystby i Dorset i England. Av byen sine omkring 3500 innbyggjarar er omkring 45 % pensjonistar; mange av dei har flytta dit frå andre stader på grunn av det behagelege klimaet.

Byen ligg på Jurassic Coast ved grensa til Devon, og blir kalla perla i Dorset. Kyststripa er ein verdsarvstad, og har namnet sitt etter dei mange fossila som er funne der. Han vart grunnlagt som ei hamn på 1200-talet, og var lenge ei av dei viktigaste hamnene i England. På 1900-talet kom nedgangstider, og i 1960-åra vart jernbanestasjonen lagt ned. Byen livnærer seg for det meste på turisme.
Lyme Regis er kjent for The Cobb, ein spesiell mur i hamnanlegget. Han er nemnt i romanen til Jane Austen, og blir vist i filmen Den franske løytnantens kvinne, som er basert på ei bok av den lokale forfattaren John Fowles.
I 1685 steig James Scott, 1. hertug av Monmouth, i land i Lyme Regis og starta sitt mislukka opprør.
I 1812 fann Mary Anning, ei fattigjente i tolvårsalderen, fossilet av den første kjende ichtyosaurus under ei av gåturane sine langs kystklippane ved Lyme Regis. Ho selde fossilet til vitjande og vart opphav til den engelske tungekrølleren She sells seashells on the seashore. Anning fann òg den første kjende plesiosaurus, og fleire av funna hennar kan ein sjå i Natural History Museum i London.[1]
