Terry Crews

Terry Alan Crews (lahir 30 Julai 1958) ialah seorang pelakon, pelawak, pelukis dan pemain bola sepak dari Amerika Syarikat.

Biografi

Awal hidup dan pendidikan

Terry Alan Crews lahir pada 30 Julai 1968^[1] di Flint, Michigan kepada Patricia and Terry Crews Sr.^[2] Beliau dibesarkan dalam keluarga penuh kacau - ayahnya merupakan seorang mabuk tidak dapat mengawal diri sehingga menyusahkan ibunya, ibunya juga yang membesarkannya sendiri.^[3][4]

Kerjaya sukan dan seni awal

Terry dipilih pasukan Los Angeles Rams dalam pusingan ke-11 pemilihan pemain bola sepak National Football League^[5] di mana beliau telribat dalam perlawanan bersama pasukan tersebut selama 6 kali sebelum berpindah kepada pasukan San Diego Chargers (10 kali), Washington Redskins (16 kali), dan Philadelphia Eagles (tiada perlawanan). Beliau turut bermain untuk pasukan Rhein Fire semasa musim WLAF 1995.^[6]

Ketika beliau mengambil peluang rehat dalam bersukan, beliau mula menceburi bidang seni sebagai seorang pelakar untuk kes-kes perbicaraan mahkamah di stesen televisyen bandarnya.^[7] Beliau juga sering mengambil upah sampingan melukis potret rakan sekerjanya pada ketika ini untuk menampung hidupnya

Penceburan bidang lakonan

Crews mencuba nasib dalam bidang lakonan di mana beliau terlibat sebagai watak penyokong dalam rancangan candawara Battle Dome selama dua musim dari 1999 sehingga 2001. Beliau tidak dapat peluang lain sehingga dua tahun kemudian^[8] apabila beliau muncul pertama kalinya sebagai pemeran utama dalam filem Friday After Next bersama Ice Cube - Terry sebelum ini pernah bekerja sebagai pengawal keselamatan tempat kerja Ice Cube.^[9][10]

Perusahaan seni

Beliau turut mengasaskan bersama sebuah syarikat reka bentuk yang mengkhusus dalam perabot iaitu Amen&Amen.^[11][12]
