Àkàrà (bahasa Hausa: kosai, bahasa Portugis: acarajé) adalah sejenis makanan gorengan diperbuat daripada kacang tunggak terdapat dalam masakan-masakan Afrika Barat (termasuk Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Mali, Gambia dan Sierra Leone[1]) serta rantau Caribbean dan Brazil (terutama di bandar Salvador, Bahia) diperkenalkan orang-orang yang diperhambakan dan didagangkan ke sana.
Makanan ini turut dijadikan barangan semahan dalam anutan Candomblé yang wujud di Brazil.[2]
Kacang tunggak direndam dan dikupas kulitnya sebelum dicuci dan digiling dengan cili dan rempah pilihan lain hingga lumat. Ia dipukul sehingga menggebu berangin lalu adunan ini digoreng berbentuk bebola kecil dalam minyak yang banyak.
