1830-31 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഫ്രഞ്ച് ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റ് യൂജിൻ ഡെലാക്രോയിക്സ് വരച്ച രണ്ട് വലിയ കടുവകൾ പരസ്പരം "കളിക്കുന്ന" ചിത്രമാണ് എ യംഗ് ടൈഗർ പ്ലേയിംഗ് വിത് ഇറ്റ്സ് മദർ. ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ കലാകാരന് മൃഗ വിഷയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എങ്ങനെ ആകർഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവെന്ന് തന്റെ കരിയറിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ ചിത്രീകരിച്ച ഈ ചിത്രം കാണിക്കുന്നു.[1] ഈ ചിത്രം 1831-ലെ സലൂണിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു ഡെലാക്രോയിക്‌സിന്റെ വിൽപത്രം എക്‌സിക്യുട്ടറായ അക്കില്ലെ പിറോണിന്റെ ആർക്കൈവ്സ്, ചിത്രകാരൻ 1,200 ഫ്രാങ്കുകൾ ഇൻഷ്വർ ചെയ്യാൻ നൽകിയതായി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.[2] എം. മൗറീസ് കോട്ടിയറിന്റേതായിരുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രം ഇപ്പോൾ പാരീസിലെ ലൂവ്രെയിലെ റൂം 77 ൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
