ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ എഴുത്തുകാരിയും, ആനിമേഷൻ കഥാ കലാകാരിയും സംവിധായികയുമാണ് ബ്രെണ്ട ചാപ്മാൻ (Brenda Chapman)(ജനനം 1 നവംബർ 1962)[1][2][3]. മികച്ച ആനിമേഷൻ ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് നേടുന്ന ആദ്യ വനിതയാണ് ബ്രെണ്ട ചാപ്മാൻ. [4][5] ഡ്രീംവർക്സ് അനിമേഷൻ എന്ന അമേരിക്കൻ ആനിമേഷൻ സ്‌റ്റുഡിയോയിൽ നിന്നും ആദ്യമായി ഒരു ആനിമേഷൻ സിനിമ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ആദ്യ വനിതയും ബ്രെണ്ട ചാപ്മാനാണ്. 1998 ൽ ഡ്രീംവർക്സ് അനിമേഷനിൽ വെച്ച് ദ പ്രിൻസ് ഓഫ് ഈജിപ്ത് എന്ന സിനിമയാണ് ബ്രെണ്ട ചാപ്മാൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത്. 2012-ൽ മികച്ച ആനിമേഷൻ ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് നേടിയ പിക്‌സാർ ആനിമേഷൻ സ്‌റ്റുഡിയോ ഒരുക്കി വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്‌നി പിക്ചർസ് വിതരണം ചെയ്ത ബ്രേവ് എന്ന ആനിമേഷൻ സിനിമ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് ബ്രെണ്ട ചാപ്മാനും മാർക്ക് ആൻഡ്രൂസുമാണ്. മികച്ച ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള അക്കാദമി, ഗോൾഡൻ ഗ്ലോബ്, ബാഫ്റ്റാ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും ബ്രേവ് നേടി.[6][5]
