ഒരിനം ഔഷധ സസ്യമാണ് യശങ്ക് (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Azima tetracantha). കേരളത്തിൽ കടലോരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലാണ് ഇവ കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്. രണ്ടു മീറ്റർ വരെ ഉയരം വയ്ക്കും[1]. ഇന്ത്യ കൂടാതെ ശ്രീലങ്കയിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ചെറുചെമ്പൻ അറബി ശലഭത്തിന്റെ ലാർവകൾ ഇതിന്റെ ഇലകൾ ഭക്ഷണമാക്കാറുണ്ട്.
