Meitene ir dzelzceļa stacija dzelzceļa līnijā Jelgava—Meitene. Stacijas ēka ir vietējas nozīmes arhitektūras piemineklis. Stacija atrodas Elejas ciemā. Tajā ir kravas satiksme, darbojas pievedceļi uz "Latraps" un citiem uzņēmumiem. Meitenes stacija atrodas 5 kilometrus no Lietuvas robežas, tālāk dzelzceļa līnija ved uz Šauļiem. Netālu no Jelgavas virziena sliežu kopsavienojuma atrodas autoceļa P103 Dobele—Bauska pārbrauktuve.

Stacija nosaukumu ieguvusi no Elejas muižas Meitu kroga, kas šajā vietā atradies pirms Pirmā pasaules kara. Pēc dzelzceļa līnijas Jelgava—Šauļi—Tilzīte un tās atzara Meitene—Bauska izbūves 1916. gadā šeit izveidojās apdzīvotā vieta, ko dēvēja par Vilkudārzu. Stacija un šaursliežu lokomotīvju depo izvietojās bijušā Meitu krogus telpās. Pēc kara beigām 1921. gada 15. februārī caur Meiteni atjaunoja tiešo dzelzceļa satiksmi starp Rīgu un Berlīni, iekļaujot Meiteni kā robežstaciju jaunajā Nord-Express maršrutā. Meitenes stacijā katru dienu pieturēja starptautiskais tālsatiksmes pasažieru vilciens Rīga—Kauņa—Kēnigsberga—Berlīne.
Pēc Otrā pasaules kara caur Meitenes staciju kursēja starptautiskie vilcieni Lietuvas virzienā (uz Šauļiem, Viļņu, Minsku, Truskavecu, Gomeļu, Karaļaučiem (tolaik Kaļiņingradu) u.c.), kā arī vietējās satiksmes vilciens Rīga—Jelgava—Meitene, kura kustību pārtrauca 1995. gadā.
2008. gadā pārstāja kursēt vilciens Rīga—Truskaveca. No 2018. gada 29. septembra caur Meiteni reizi nedēļā (kopš 31.01.2019 — reizi 4 dienās) bez apstāšanās kursēja pasažieru vilciens Rīga—Kijiva.[2] Sakarā ar ārkārtas situācijas izsludināšanu koronavīrusa pandēmijas dēļ 2020. gada 17. martā Rīgas—Kijivas pasažieru vilcienu atcēla.
No 2023. gada 27. decembra caur Meiteni ik dienas kursē starptautiskais dīzeļvilciens Rīga—Viļņa, taču arī tas Meitenē nepietur.
1923. gada 15. decembrī atklāja pēc arhitekta Jāņa Neijas projekta būvēto Meitenes stacijas ēku. Stacijas atklāšanā piedalījās Latvijas Republikas satiksmes ministrs Jānis Pauļuks un dzelzceļu galvenais direktors Kārlis Bļodnieks, kuri ieradās pasākumā ar Rīgas—Berlīnes vilcienu.[3] Ēkas arhitektūrā bija izmantoti klasicisma elementi, ēkā atradās divi 1935. gadā Kārļa Melbārzda gleznoti sienas panno — "Gaujas senleja" un "Latvijas lauki". No Ļeņingradas atsūtītais mākslinieks N. Karagodins 1952. gadā vienu sienas gleznojumu "Gaujas senleja" pārkrāsoja par varenu Sibīrijas upi ar pionieriem, bet gleznai "Latvijas lauki" piezīmēja kolhoza atribūtiku — auto, brigadieri ar kolhozniecēm, lielfermu ar vēja rotoru.[4]
1944. gadā Sarkanās armijas uzbrukuma laikā padomju aviācija stacijas ēku sagrāva. 1950. gadā to nepilnā apjomā atjaunoja — saglabājusies ēkas vidusdaļa un Šauļu virziena spārns, bet no Jelgavas virziena spārna palicis atsevišķi stāvošs fragments, ko agrāk izmantoja kā šaursliežu dzelzceļa Bauska—Meitene galastacijas ēku. Šaursliežu stacijas ēka ilgu laiku stāvēja neizmantota, bet kopš 2020. gada tajā atrodas Elejas kara vēstures muzejs.[5]
