Turkistanas (kaz. Түркістан) arba Turkestanas (rus. Туркестан) – miestas Kazachstano pietuose, Pietų Kazachstano srityje, 160 km į šiaurės vakarus nuo Šymkento, netoli Syrdarjos upės. Stotis prie Transaralo geležinkelio. Medvilnės, farmacijos, maisto pramonė[1]. Svarbus ir turistinis visos Vidurinės Azijos centras, žymus savo Chodža Achmedo Jasavio mauzoliejumi. Taip pat yra keli mažesni mauzoliejai.

Archeologiniai radiniai rodo, kad gyvenvietė egzistavo jau IV a. Šis miestas galėjo būti „Hanšu“ kronikoje minima Kangdžu sostinė Beitanas. Žlugus Otratui, šis miestas tapo svarbiausiu prekybiniu centru prie Šilko kelio regione. Viduramžiais miestas buvo žinomas Jasio, Šavgaro arba Hazare Turkestano pavadinimu. Pradžioje priklausė Chorezmui, čia XII a. gyveno ir buvo palaidotas žymus sufijų mistikas Chodža Achmedas Jasavis. Jo kapavietė tapo svarbiu piligrimystės objektu. Užėjus mongolams, Timūras čia pradėjo didelio mauzoliejaus statybas. XVI a. Turkestanas tapo Kazachų chanato sostine. XIX a. miestą užvaldė uzbekai, jis tapo Kokando chanato dalimi, o valdant rusams sunyko visiškai. Vėliau atsikūrė naujoje vietoje kaip stotis prie Transaralo geležinkelio.
