Gelonas – Herodoto minimas miestas skitų genties budinų žemėse. Tai matyt buvusi graikų kolonistų, išsikėlusių iš pajūrio kolonija. Gelonų kalba buvo graikų ir skitų mišinys. Gelonai vertėsi žemdirbyste, augino sodus.
Pasak Herodoto, Gelone buvusi medinė tvirtovė, kurių kiekvienos iš sienų ilgis – 30 stadijų (5,5 km). Būta medinių graikų dievų šventyklų ir namų, Kas treji metai švęsta Dioniso šventė, rengtos bakchanalijos[1]. 512 m. pr. m. e. Darijaus I sugriautas.
Gelono vieta nėra tiksliai žinoma, hipotezės apima regioną nuo pat Volgos iki Dniepro. Viena iš versijų, jog Gelonas galėjęs būti Bilsko piliakalnio vietoje (Sumų ir Poltavos sritys, Ukraina).
