Vokiečių priemiestis – buvęs kvartalas Vilniaus miesto savivaldybėje, ties dabartine Vokiečių gatve ir Vilniaus Šv. Mikalojaus bažnyčia.

Vokiečių gatvės pavadinimas kildinamas iš „vokiečių miesto“ – erdvės, į kurią XIV a. pradėjo keltis į Vilnių atvykę daugiausiai vokiečių kilmės pirkliai ir amatininkai. Vėliau pačioje gatvėje įsikūrė daugiausiai vokiška Vilniaus liuteronų bendruomenė ir dar iki XX a. vidurio į evangelikų liuteronų bažnyčią ėjo daugiausiai vokiečių kalba kalbantys šios bendruomenės nariai.[1]
Vokiečių gatvės pavadinimas, kaip ir daugelis kitų Vilniaus gatvių pavadinimų, buvo keičiamas pagal laikmetį ir valdžią (Die deutsche Gasse, Gasztoldowska, Monetowa, Немецкая, Niemiecka, Vokiečių, Muziejaus iki 1988 m.).[2] Šiandien iš senųjų laikų gatvės išliko pusė jos – rytinės gatvės pusės namai, stovėję ten, kur dabar driekiasi pėsčiųjų promenada, buvo sugriauti per II pasaulinį karą.[3]
XIV a. dabartinėje Vokiečių gatvėje apsigyveno vokiečių pirkliai ir amatininkai. Pasak Vilniaus praeitį tyrinėjančių istorikų, vakariečiai pavertė savo gatvę savotišku finansiniu miesto centru: čia klestėjo prekyba, amatai, virė to meto verslai. Vienu metu Vokiečių gatvė vadinta Monetų gatve dėl šioje vietoje iki pat XVIII a. pabaigos veikusios Vilniaus monetų kalyklos.[4]
Po II pasaulinio karo senoji gatvės struktūra buvo labai smarkiai suardyta – 1944 m. gatvė smarkiai sugriauta per sovietinių bombonešių antskrydį. Senieji pastatai išliko tik pietvakarinėje Vokiečių gatvės pusėje, kitoje – sovietinių laikų namai.
