Kojiki (Iaponice 古事記, Commentarius de Rebus Vetustis) est, vetustissima exstans opus historica digestu in Iaponia in 712 iussu imperatricis Gemmei, Ōkimi (Iaponice 大王 vel 大君) sive Sumeramikoto [1] femina. Scriptor est Iasumarus Ono (Iaponice 太安万侶) . Iasumarus scripit a memoria de Are de Hieda (Iaponice 稗田阿礼) . Kojiki est scripta in litteris Sinensis, (Sinice antice in genere, at waka Iaponice includet) refert fabulosam origine Iaponia, Mythologia quae origo ratioque Mikoto (命) sive Tenno[2] et historia patriae sub imperialis familia adhoc Suiko[3]
Kojiki a tres libris Maki (Iaponice:巻): Kamitsumaki (上つ巻) in quod mythologia Iaponiae ex creatione mundi per Kotoamatsukami ante Imperatores, Nakatsumaki (中つ巻) in quod historia genealogiaeque Imperatorium a Jimmu ad Ōdzin, Imperator XV et Shimotsumaki (下つ巻) in quo historia ab Nintoku, Imperator XVI ad Suiko, Imperatorix XXXIII scribatur.
