Jubaea chilensis est solum species exstans generis Jubaea Arecacearum, familiae palmarum. In America Australi meridio-occidentali habitat, ubi in parva mediae Chiliae regione endemica est, inter 32°S et 35°S in regionibus Coquimbensi, Vallis Paradisi, Iacobopolis, et Liberatoris Generalis Bernardi O'Higgins australibus et Maulensi septentrionali.

Maximum orbis terrarum specimen plantarum in partibus interioribus est Jubaea chilensis in Hortis Botanicis Regalibus Kew, in Anglia exculta.
