Diarium[1] est scriptum nuntiorum quod temporibus statis, saepe cotidie, promulgatum est. De multis rebus in diariis scribitur, exempli gratia: de administratione reipublicae, de scientia, de ludicra corporis exercitatione, et cetera. Originem diariorum reperiunt alii in actis diurnis et jing bao[2] civitatum antiquorum Romae et Sinarum; alii in ephemeridibus privatis mercatorum mediaevalium.
