Andreas I (Hungarice András I; natus anno 1015, mortuus anno 1060) fuit quartus Hungariae rex, qui ab 1046 ad 1060 regnavit. Is fuit secundus natu ex filiis Basilii, propinqui regis Stephani. Basilius rebellavit contra imperium Stephani parum prae eius morte. Postquam rex ob hoc ultus erat, filii Basilii confugerunt ex Hungaria in Bohemiam. Fratres nec post mortem Stephani revertere ausi sunt, quia crebebant regem Aba Samuelem et Petrum fuisse hostiles ipsis. Quando seditio pagana incepit in Hungaria anno 1046, fratres tempus censuerunt esse aptum ad redeundum et cum paganis et subsidiis Petrum regno spoliaverunt. In ultimis imperii annis, relatio sua deterior facta est cum fratre Bela, quia antea thronum ipso obtulit pro tempore post mortem suam, quod progeniem non habuit. Sed sero tamen filium, Salomonem, genuit et fecit eum heredem ducem. Id discordiam iniecit inter fratres. Bela coactus est fugere in Bohemiam, unde anno 1060 revertit cum subsidiis. Andream regem vicit in proelio et in thronum ascendit. Andreas mortuus est in captivitate.
