Saruma (Sinice: 马蹄香属 mati xiangshu) est genus plantarum florentium familiae Aristolochiacearum, in Sinis endemica.
Planta in regionibus montanis habitare solet. Ea ad genus Asarum arte conectitur, cuius nominis suum nomen est anagramma.[1]
Descriptio.—Planta herba perennis, erecta. Radices odoriferae. Folia alterna, cordata. Flores in petiolo lati (stricte terminalibus), solitarii. Perianthium biseriatum, actinomorphicum. Sepala basale connata, adnata ad gynoecium et stamina calycem formantia; lobi tres, ovati. Petala tres, libera. Stamina duodecim in duabus seriebus; filamenta inflata et incurvata in apice; antherae introrsae (ob curvaturam). Ovarium semi-inferius; carpella sex, connata solum in fundamento. Fructus follicularis, calyce persistente. Semina in una facie convexa, transverse rugosa, funiculo carnoso.[2]
Rhizoma in medicina Sinica adhibetur.[3]
