Museum Papyrorum Bibliothecae Nationalis Austriacae est unus ex eiusmodi thesauris orbis terrarum illustrissimus. Collectus, quae fere 180000 res ex 3000 annis historiae Aegyptiacae comprehendit (circiter 1500 a.C.n. - 1500 p.C.n.), in Novo Palatio Vindobonae asservatur. Praeterea exstat copiosa papyrologica bibliotheca fere 15000 operum.
Anno 2001 Papyruskollektion Erzherzog Rainer (1. Fayyumer Fund = prima reperta Crocodilopolitana), qui collectus gravissimus est musei, in indicem Memoriae mundi (UNESCO) acceptus est.[1]
