Hecale (Graece Ἑκάλη in mythologia Graeca fuit anicula qui Atticam incolabat Theseumque adiuvit qui iter faciebat ad taurum Marathonium capiendum. Historia in carmine Callimacheo Hecale narrata est, hodie partim deperdito,[1] et in "Vita Thesei" Plutarchea. Idem nomen gesserunt demus Athenarum antiquus et oppidum Atticae hodiernum.
