Ionta (ion, iontis, n.; Graece: ἰόν, ἰόντος 'iens')[1] in chemia sunt atomi vel moleculae electrice oneratae, propter augentem, aut diminuentem electronum suorum dotationem, quae in principio neutra est. Hoc appellatur iontizatio.

Hoc casu ulteriori, iontis formatio non ob auctionem diminutionemve electronum ab ammonia (NH3) sed auctio protonis ipsius. Ammonium est ion ammoniae (NH4+), numerum eundem electronum habent, ut sunt pleni, hoc facit ea praesertim stantia.
