초암호화(Superencipherment, Multi Encryption)는 암호화 과정중 하나로, 암호화를 거친 암호문을 한번 혹은 여러번 치환이나 변환을 하는 것[1]이다. 초암호화를 하는 암호 알고리즘은 처음 암호문과 같은 암호 알고리즘일수도 있으며, 다른 암호 알고리즘일수도 있다. 이렇게 초암호화 단계에서 해독 된 것을 가리켜 플라코드(Placode), 초암호화에서 변형된 것을 엔시코드(encicode)라고 불린다.[1]
