바우어새

바우어새(Bowerbirds)는 참새목 바우어새과(Ptilonorhynchidae)에 속하는 조류의 총칭이다. 수컷 새는 암컷의 흥미를 끌기 위해 마른 풀이나 나뭇잎 등으로 화려하게 집을 짓거나 장식하는 독특한 구애 행동으로 유명하다. 바우어버드, 정원사새 또는 정자새(亭子-) 등으로도 불린다. 8개 속에 20종으로 이루어져 있다.
